GRE EXAM 2018: Eligibility, Exam Pattern, Exam Dates

It is also the only admission test that lets you skip a question or go back and change answers.

Everybody is Welcome to appear GRE test and no restriction on age or qualification, just you have to complete Class 12 or more for test and proposed applicants graduate takes the test for GRE.  

The GRE test features questions that are closely related to the kind of thinking you would do in graduate or business school. The three important steps this test is categorized is as follows.

GRE Exam 2018 has 2 different test CBT (Computer Based Test) & PBT ( Paper Based Test ).

The duration of the exam CBT is 3 hrs & 45mins & for PBT is 3 hrs & 30 mins.

  • Verbal reasoning: Measures your ability to analyze and evaluate written material and synthesize information obtained from it, analyze relationships among component parts of sentences and recognize relationships among words and concepts. 

  • Quantitative reasoning: Measures problem-solving ability using basic concepts of arithmetic, algebra, geometry and data analysis. 

  • Analytical Writing: Measures your thinking skills and your thought process along with writing skills, especially your ability to support complex ideas clearly and effectively.

GRE conducts its exam round the world with 12 months rotation but has few rules to follow the exam.  Candidates can appear the exam only 21 days in the month restricted only 5 times in a year.

While the weight placed on your GRE score in relation to other factors (undergraduate GPA, letters of recommendation, relevant experience in your chosen field, etc.) will vary from program to program, poor GREs can seriously hurt your chances of admission. In addition, GRE scores are an important factor when it comes to awarding teaching and research assistantships and merit–based financial aid. 

Below are three important tips to strengthen your skills in order to ace this test effectively: 
Make sure your tests are electronic, adaptive by section, and mirror the same conversion processes used by ETS to generate scores. 
Lots and lots of practice questions. You are learning a new skill and all new skills require lots of practice. You must have access to hundreds of practice problems in all subject areas. 
To be completely prepared, you must have the opportunity to sit down with your coach, one-on-one, to review your performance on practice exams.
